HOW MANY barn dances have you been to that are held in an actual barn? Not many, we’ll wager, but this year’s Lambley PTA hoedown provides an opportunity to correct that situation. Located in an working barn at Cottage Farm, Catfoot Lane, the event promises to raise the rafters with live music and a whole hog on the roast.
The event will be held on Saturday 2 July 2011 staring at 7.30pm and going on until late (the band is booked until 11.30pm). This is an adult-only event for which entry is by ticket only, at £15 a head to include a portion of the hog roast (vegetarian alternative will be available). There will also be a cash bar.
Numbers are limited so the organisers urge would-be barndancers, linedancers, and hoedowners to secure their place early. Tickets are on sale at The Lambley restaurant (during pub hours), Lambley Primary School (during school hours), and at the Toddler Group at Lambley Village Hall every Tuesday, 9.30-11.30am.
