Lambley Arts Festival will hold its Annual General Meeting at the Robin Hood Inn on Main Street, Lambley, at 7.30pm on Wednesday 17 November. These meetings are kept informal to encourage as many festival friends and supporters as possible to be there.
The meeting will review events from the last year, including the two visiting productions of The Last Snow Rider and Farm Boy, and the major annual event the Cowslip Sunday Revival. Lambley Arts Festival has now been recognised as an emerging arts organisation for the East Midlands, and is receiving mentoring and support from Cultivate, which offers leadership and guidance to cultural bodies.
Arts Festival chair David Longford says: “The input of other residents is crucial to our work, as we genuinely want views and thoughts on how we can build on our successful arts work in Lambley. Perhaps you’d like to join us and really get involved. Don’t worry if you can’t make the meeting just drop me an email to davidlongford@catfoot.co.uk if you want more information.”
Cowslip Sunday 2011 takes place on Sunday 1 May. Already in the pipeline: Lambley Jack and the Giant of Ploughman Wood, the follow-up community production to Lambley Jack’s Cowslip Tales.
