LOWDHAM Horticultural Society will hold its annual Spring Show on Sunday 10 April, in Lowdham Village Hall.
There will be displays of spring flowers including daffodils and tulips, and competitive classes for these as well as pot plants and herbs. The society also hopes to encourage junior entrants to enter one of three exhibition classes. Entries are free of charge in all classes. As usual, tea, coffee, and homemade cakes will be on sale.
The unusual weather of the 2010-11 winter, with a severely cold December and relatively mild January will, says the society on its website, make it interesting to see which blooms perform best.
The show schedule will be available in Lowdham village in good time for the event, and an electronic version can be emailed if requested after 1 March 2011.
Timetable for the day:
- Staging of exhibits from 8.30 to 10.00am
- Show opens 11.00am
- Prizegiving 3.30pm
- Show closes 4.00pm
