WOODBOROUGH Horticultural Society’s autumn show last week attracted 229 exhibits, slightly more than a year ago, and 35 exhibitors (slightly fewer than 2011).
The next WHS event is the Leek and Onion Show on Sunday 7 October. This small but friendly event is held at 12 noon prompt at The Institute on Roe Lane. WHS encourages people to come along and see how the exhibits are measured and the winners chosen, saying it only takes about 20 minutes so you’ll have time to get home in time for your Sunday roast.
