FIRST TRENTSIDE Scout Group is organising a sponsored walk on Easter Monday, 25 April 2011, to raise funds for a new community building at the Muga (multi-use games area) recreation ground on Southwell Road, Lowdham.
How far can a balloon fly from Lowdham?
On arrival – the event starts at 1pm – you will be given a map of the route. The walk is approximately five miles, starting and finishing at the WI Hall in Lowdham. Shorter, pushchair-friendlier alternatives are also available. Entry is free for those who raise £10 or more in sponsorship, otherwise entry is £2.50 per person.
Afterwards, refreshments will be available at the WI Hall or across the road at the Magna Charta, which is offering 25% off food if ordered before 6.30pm. The afternoon finale will be a balloon race from the Magna Charta garden at 4.30pm.
The event is supported by the Magna Charta, Lowdham Parish Council, Lowdham Colts FC, and local tennis and netball clubs.
