Gedling Borough Council, whose territory includes Lambley and Woodborough, has begun surveying residents about which services should be protected from forthcoming budget cuts.
The latest edition of Gedling Contacts magazine includes a questionnaire giving residents the chance to say what are the most important council services. 3000 homes will also be sent a separate questionnaire asking for information. The survey can be completed on paper and sent to the council, and additional forms can be downloaded (PDF) and printed off. The survey can also be completed online.
Roland Spencer, leader of Gedling Borough Council, said: “We’re likely to have some tough decisions to make in the months ahead about where to make savings and which services to protect from savings. We want residents’ and businesses’ views on what they think of our services, which services they value most, those they would like us to protect, and those on which they think we could make savings.”
