Further to our recent report about the free summer sports scheme for children in Lambley and Woodborough, being organised by Gedling Borough Council, full details have now been announced. Sports activities will take place between 10am and 12pm every Thursday during August and September in the holidays, using the playing field behind Woodborough Village Hall.
The first session will be on Thursday 5 August 2010, and the last on Thurday 2 September. Activities will be organised for three age groups: 5-7 years; 8-11 years; and 12-14 years. There will be one coach per group doing a mixture of sports, chosen from the top results in the recent online survey.
Children are not required to attend each session, and pre-booking is not necessary – just turn up! Activities will relocate to Woodborough Village Hall in the event of heavy rain.
