SATURDAY 3 September 2011 saw the popular Autumn Show from Woodborough Horticultural Society once again attracting a high standard of exhibit. Altogether 225 exhibits from 44 entrants showed that interest in the horticultural arts is flourishing in the village. Trophy winners are listed below:
Section 1 – Flowers
- Tomlinson Rose Bowl, for the best exhibit in Class 1: June Nind
- Shirley and Keith Koskins Cup, for the most points in section 1: Inga Filmer
- Brookfields Cup, for the best exhibit in section 1: Toppy Hanson
- Mellows Cup, for the most points in section 1: Inga Filmer
Section 2 – Vegetables
- Woodborough Horticultural Society Cup, for the most points in section 2: Adrian Baggaley
- E and L Hames Cup, best exhibit in section 2: Adrian Baggaley (cabbages)
- Grays TV Cup, most points in section 2: tied between Derek Hallam and Toppy Hanson

Section 4 – Children’s
- Joyce Taylor Cup (10 – 14 years): Will Green
- Woodborough Junior Challenge Cup (under 10): Grace Riley
- Lauea Rose Morgan Memorial Cup: Ally Sloan
Section 5 – Domestic
- Brackenbury Cup, most points in section 5: Kathryn Watson
- Knowles Garage Cup, most points in section 5: Heather Kirk
Section 6 – Handicrafts
- Tom Mitchell Cup, most points in section 6: Rod Hirst
Section 7 – Fruit
- Notts County Football Club Gup, most points in section 7: Adrian Baggaley
- David Frost Cup, winner of collection of fruit: Adrian Baggaley
Section 8 – Wines and beers
- Printed Adhesive Tape Cup, most points in section 8: Adrian Baggaley
Finally, the Carnill Cup for the most points in show was awarded to Adrian Baggaley, with 383 points.
