NEW shopping bus services provide links between villages in our area and nearby shops – but on a limited timetable.
The new S6 runs from Lowdham to Calverton, Woodborough, Lambley, and Arnold on Mondays only. Three buses run in each direction, starting at 0930, 1100, and 1230. Three return services set off at 1020, 1150, and 1430.
The S8 Runs from Calverton to Woodborough, Lambley and the Morrisons supermarket at Netherfield, just once at 0930 each Wednesday and Friday. The return service sets off at 1140.
Also on Wednesdays and Fridays, the S9 operates from Southwell to Lowdham, Burton Joyce, and Netherfield shops. The single service departs Southwell at 1040 and the return bus leaves at 1300.
Fares are between £2.20 an £3.00 adult single, £1.10 to £2.00 child/student single. Returns are £4.00-£5.00 adult, £2.00-£3.00 child/student. Concession passes are accepted and change will be given,
These new S services are operated by CT4N, which used to be known as Nottingham Community Transport. The new name is presumably some fashionable rendering of ‘Community Transport for Nottingham’ or similar, and we’re prepared to bet that somebody is really proud of that.
Full timetable and fare information can be found on the CT4N website (although the S9 timetable produced only an error message for us), and is also displayed on bus stops. If that doesn’t work, try this page on bustimes.org
Does the S6 shopper pick up at Moor Lane Caravan Park on Monday please if so what time is first bus.
Many Thanks
Not sure Sharon, but we think not. There’s a route map and timetable here: https://bustimes.org/services/s6-lowdham-calverton-woodborough-arnold or make enquiries of C4TN http://www.ct4n.co.uk/
