About / Contact

dumbles.co.uk provides local news and information for the people of Lambley, Lowdham, Woodborough, and surrounding areas in Nottinghamshire, UK. We report on the things that happen here, and publicise forthcoming events.

dumbles.co.uk is in some ways like a village noticeboard, where anybody can add their own news. We’re very happy to hear from you if you have a story to tell or an event to publicise, so please don’t hesitate to contact us. Email editor@dumbles.co.uk or simply leave a reply below.

We’re also keen to help local groups and clubs put a toe in the water of the internet, and are offering a free page right here on this site for any non-commercial group. All we need from you is some words (and preferably some pictures too), and we’ll put a page together for you, for free, no strings attached.

dumbles.co.uk also offers an excellent and cost-effective chance for businesses to advertise themselves to the local community. We’re already generating thousands of page views per month, and each one of those is an opportunity to put your message across. Please contact us for further information. Dear Russ, As a member of the Woodborough Horticultural Society committee I am ashamed to say that this is the first occasion that I have found time to visit your site. It is brilliant, thank you very much for all your efforts. All best wishes Inga

I have only just discovered DUMBLES but I think you are doing a great job, it’s a really informative read. I have put a link on my family tree site so members of the family with Lambley connections can keep up to date with their home village.

    Good job!

Thanks! Not quite sure what you mean by the walk from the school – the crossing patrol is organised by the Lambley School PTA, I believe. They can be contacted via the school (contact details under ‘schools’ just below the masthead).

I live in Canada and love to keep in touch with what’s happening in Lambley and the surrounding areas (still home, even after 30 years away!) Thanks for your hard work in producing dumbles.co.uk

I heard about the floods the other day and then found your website. I moved away from Woodborough many years ago but have been back to visit a few times. I was home last year but only for a brief time. I have signed up for the internet newsletter so maybe I will recognize some names from the past. The website is nicely done, by the way. All the best. Kathleen.
