Cowboy Baby debuts at Lowdham Book Festival

Cowboy Baby is a modern classic children's book, presented in an original stage adaptation at Lowdham Book Festival 2011

AMONG THE delights in store for 2011’s Lowdham Book Festival is the inaugural production from Catfoot Theatre, a stage adaptation of Sue Heap’s classic children’s book Cowboy Baby.

Winning gold in the 1998 Smarties Children’s Book Awards, Cowboy Baby is both an exciting adventure and a story of friendship and love. Director David Longford says we should expect stetsons, cacti, and lassoes, interspersed with music around the camp fire, in a jolly and endearing family presentation.

Cowboy Baby will be touring the East Midlands in the summer of 2011, including Nottingham, Chilwell, and the Buxton Fringe. However, its first two performances will be in Lowdham, on 25 June 2011 at 12.00 noon and 2.30pm. Venue and ticket prices to be confirmed when the full Lowdham Book Festival programme is published on 23 May.
