Lambley fete set for 4 July

Lambley Primary School’s annual summer fete will be held this year on 4 July on the school field, 2:00-5:00pm. The event will include the usual range of attractions including bouncy castles, football shoot out, hook-a-duck, and other games. Refreshments will include the always-popular beer tent.

Craft and retail stalls will be complemented by games created by the children, all in aid of PTA funds. Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue is again sending a fire truck and crew to be ambassadors of the service.

The PTA is asking for donations for the tombola, and cakes for the cake stall. All offers of help can be made through the school office – Tel (0115) 931 3515 or email office@lambley.notts.sch.uk

One departure from past events is that the barbecue will this year be operated by Belvoir Hogroast which will prepare and cook the usual range of burgers, sausages, etc. Previously the barbecue has been staffed by volunteers from the community, but this year the school insisted that all volunteers had to hold a food hygiene certificate, the costs of which were felt by the PTA to be prohibitive.

Meanwhile, here’s a little video we made of the Lambley fete a couple of years ago:
