Lambley Primary seeks governors

Do you want a chance make a real difference in your local community and currently have a little time to spare?

Have you considered being a school governor? We are looking for individuals who are willing to contribute to the effective governance and continued success of Lambley Primary School.

If you possess good personal attributes, qualities and capabilities and are keen offer your skills, knowledge and support then we would love to talk to you.

You would join a team of like-minded people who care deeply about local education and community.

Governing bodies are responsible for a wide range of matters which come under three main headings

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Governors need a strong commitment to the role and to improving outcomes for children, the inquisitiveness to question and analyse, and the willingness to learn.
