THE 14th annual Lowdham Book Festival will see the return of the popular ‘Final Saturday’ feature as the culmination of nearly two weeks of book- and literature-related events.
The festival kicks off on Tuesday 18 June with a lunch at Thrumpton Hall with novellist Deborah Moggach. The following 11 days sees dozens of events, most staged in and around Lowdham, from authors’ talks about their work to musical performances by well-known stars such as Hazel O’Connor.
The Final Saturday has been a feature of Lowdham Book Festivals from the beginning, but was dropped in 2012 due to scheduling difficulties. Its return this year will undoubtedly be popular with festival-goers and authors alike. Focused on Lowdham Village Hall, it includes a marquee city staging talks and theatrical performances along with book sales and refreshments.
Final Saturday is on Saturday 29 June 2013.
